Public Notice – Letter of Intent to Fill Vacant Seat The Town Council is seeking letters of intent to fill vacant Council Seat due to a resignation.  Appointed person will fill the remainder of the term, which is approximately one (1) year. Letter need to be turned into Town Hall by 4:00 PM, February 21, 2018.





Register to Vote for the March 3 Election by SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2018!

Have you registered with the Town of Frederica to vote in the upcoming election? The election will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018. “At such Annual Municipal Election or special election of the town, every person shall have one (1) vote, provided that he or she: (1) has attained the age necessary to vote in an election held under the laws of the State of Delaware; (2) is a citizen of the United States; and (3) has properly registered to vote in The Town of Frederica for at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of the election; (4) provides proof of current residence; (5) is not delinquent in the payment of any taxes or other assessments levied by the town.” Please stop in Town Hall before the end of the Day SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2018 to register.





Town Hall Open until 8 PM today, January 17, 2018.

Town Hall will be open until 8 PM tonight to enable any interested parties to file a notification of candidacy for the upcoming election, per the Town of Frederica Charter:   “Candidacy for Mayor or Town Council Each candidate for Mayor or Town Council shall be nominated as follows: a) Each candidate shall notify the Secretary of the Town Council in writing of his or her candidacy for the office of Mayor or Town Council. b) All such notifications of candidacy shall be filed in person at the Town Hall during regular business hours, not earlier than the opening of business on the first Monday of December and prior to the close of business on the last Friday of January. The Town of Frederica is soliciting candidates for the upcoming election on March 3, 2018.  Positions open are: One Council seat with a term of two (2) years. One Mayor seat with a term of two (2) years.  Please see the attached flyer for more details.  Solicitation of Candidates





Ricky Maddox – New President of Kent County Crime Watch

  Congratulations to our own Council Member Ricky Maddox who was elected on June 22, 2017 by the general membership of the Kent County Crime Watch as President.  Mr. Maddox will serve for a two year term.

NOTICE – ELECTION CANCELLED The March 4, 2017 Election has been cancelled.  There were three Council positions up for election, and only three letters of intent were submitted.  The three Council Members will be Pete Rager, Jesus “Poncho” Davila, and Ricky Maddox. Pete and Poncho will remain in their Council Seats, and Ricky Maddox will be taking the position currently held by Amanda Hudson.  The Re-organizational Meeting for Council will be Monday, March 6, 2017.
